SQL Server DBA
OneMain Financial is seeking candidates for a SQL Server DBA to join our Information Technology team.
This DBA position will function primarily on Microsoft SQL Server and have responsibility for installation, maintenance, and monitoring of the SQL server environment using enterprise tools and automation.
The DBA will advise various stake holders to assist in the design of new IT functions and the installation of new services.
This role can be remote within driving distance to one of our corporate locations (Baltimore, MD, New York, NY, Evansville, IN, Fort Worth, TX, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Wilmington, DE, Tempe AZ, or Minneapolis/St.
Paul, MN)Key Areas:
Install and maintain Windows SQL server versions 2014 and newerClustering and Always-On groupsVarious level of SQL encryptionManage database system performance and tuningManage large enterprise applicationsScripting and automating with PowerShell, VB, database utilities, and other toolsRequirements:
Associates degree in Information Technology related degree required; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology area preferred3-5 years of MS SQL Server DBA experienceExcellent communication skillsLarge enterprise database performance tuning experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience writing scriptsAvailable for on-call rotationHighly motivatedExperience with Azure or AWS preferredExperience with other open systems DBMS like PostgreSQL and/or MySQL a plusNote:
